Truck Upload
How to prepare and use this upload
Truck master defines the vehicles available for planning and optimization. LoadWise converts the uploaded feet dimensions to centimeters and truck volume in Stage 2, then uses that capacity when Stage 4 generates scenarios.
Each row represents one truck type. Keep truck type names stable because users select these values when generating candidate plans and optimization scenarios.
Uploading a new truck file replaces the current truck master table. Use this when truck dimensions or available truck types have changed.
| Upload Column | Required | Expected Value | Example | What It Controls |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Truck Type | Yes | Unique truck code or name | TRUCK 1 | The selectable truck type used throughout planning and optimization. |
| UoM | Yes | ft | ft | Unit of measure for truck dimensions. Current LoadWise setup expects truck dimensions in feet. |
| Height | Optional | Positive number in feet | 8.5 | Internal truck height used to calculate volume capacity. |
| Length | Optional | Positive number in feet | 32 | Internal truck length used to calculate volume capacity. |
| Width | Optional | Positive number in feet | 7.8 | Internal truck width used to calculate volume capacity. |
- Truck dimensions must remain in feet.
- Truck volume is calculated dynamically; do not upload volume manually.
- A truck type cannot be optimized until height, length, and width are available.
